About Kunkel's
Est. 1979
___________
The Kunkel Family was introduced to the restaurant business in 1979 when John & Carol purchased a well-established luncheonette located on Kings Highway in Audubon called Del's Luncheonette. The family lived above the business and our children were exposed to the restaurant business at a very early age. The family has always been one of the ingredients to our success in every restaurant that we have owned or have operated since then. The feel of family is evident throughout Kunkel's from the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by John or Carol, all the way to the kitchen where son Justin is preparing some of our great meals. You will feel at home in our cozy dining room featuring two fireplaces and mahogany and painted woodwork throughout, which was designed and built by John. You will also find daughters Rachel and Tereze occasionally serving our guests, as well as son-in-law Jim overindulging on pasta on Tuesday nights. Don't be surprised if you're in early for dinner one night and see a few little ones walk in and out of the kitchen. Don't be alarmed, it's just the next generation in training. We invite you to experience our unique combination of casual fine dining and family atmosphere.
